TOM STAFFORD has a PhD in cognitive science and is a lecturer in psychology and cognitive science in the Department of Psychology, University of Sheffield. He is the co-author (with Matt Webb) of MIND HACKS: Tips and Tools for Using Your Brain (O'Reilly, 2005) and has worked a freelance writer and researcher for the BBC.
